UPDATE: Russia’s Norilsk Nickel says sells 9.68% in Inter RAO power holding

MOSCOW, Dec 31 (PRIME) – Russian metals giant Norilsk Nickle has sold 9.68% of shares in Inter RAO power holding to United Capital Partners (UCP) for U.S.$ 152.6 million, Norilsk Nickel said in a statement on Thursday.

“Norilsk Nickel is announcing that it has sold its 9.68% share in Inter RAO o United Capital Partners for a total sum of $152.6 million,” the statement said.

The sale took place in line with Norilsk Nickel’s strategy of selling non-core assets adopted in 2013.
